About

In 2022, the inaugural West Point Challenge (WPC) took the place of the All Academy Challenge. This focused week of fundraising competition is for Grads, parents, cadets, surviving spouses and friends of West Point to all come together to support the Academy. Participation is key.

This week, join the camaraderie and competition to support the future leaders of our nation. Any amount to any fund counts as a participatory gift. Participation matters because higher-ed institutions are ranked based on alumni participation. West Point’s ranking impacts the quality and caliber of applicants, partnerships with corporations and other entities for cadet development, and much more. In addition, thanks to many generous donors, there will be challenges that will increase the impact of your gift during this time.

Sunday, May 5th at Reveille (0630) until Thursday, May 9th at Taps (2330)

Giving goes live on April 19th, 2024 but the actual West Point Challenge does not start until May 5th, 2024.

We would love to answer any additional questions. Please contact us at WestPointChallenge@wpaog.org or call 845.446.1657.

In close coordination, WPAOG and its sister alumni associations decided to sunset the All Academy Challenge (AAC) after the 2021 AAC. For eight years, this collective effort energized our graduate bodies and communities and raised participation and support for our institutions to new heights. Thank you, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine for being such worthy opponents. We are excited for the new era of the West Point Challenge (WPC).

Making a Gift

Both the Superintendent’s Annual Fund and the West Point Parents Fund support the Margin of Excellence and make a difference in nearly every cadet’s West Point Experience. Gifts to this fund are utilized daily.

Ambassadors receive a digital toolkit and a Custom Giving Link to help spread the word. Ambassadors who secure three donors (themselves and two others) will receive an exclusive GO ARMY cooler backpack! See the Get Involved page for more details and to sign up.

Participation

The total number of class members (the denominator) is set prior to the Challenge starting on May 5th. It will not be altered during the Challenge. Giving a gift of at least $5 to any fund counts as participation. Grads may only give for their own participation; participation may not be gifted on another’s behalf.

The funds from the most unique donors will win bonus money for the top academic department, athletic team, and club contests. Unique donors are determined using the email address provided during checkout. Donors may only give for their participation; gifts cannot be made on behalf of someone else.

Anyone who donates to the West Point Parents Fund is eligible to choose a cadet company at checkout. The cadet company with the most money raised for the Parents Fund will win bonus funds for their company activities fund. The top company will win $5,000, the second-place company will win $2,500, and the third-place company will win $1,000. Only one company may be chosen per donation. If you want to support more than one cadet company, please consider making multiple donations.
